Finding a good therapist is often a daunting task and it can be even more daunting if you are also a psychotherapist. One of my specialties is working with the challenging issues that are unique to therapists in the field of psychology. I work with new therapists, and seasoned ones, all are welcome. The psychotherapy I provide for therapists is not supervision or a supervision-like therapy, it is psychotherapy. Of course you will need to talk about your work, everyone does, but I will focus on the issues related to you, not your clients. There are some psychotherapists that never seek out therapy for themselves, not something I would recommend, as it conjures up thoughts of ‘therapist heal thyself’, but we might ask, why?  It can feel very threatening for a therapist to reveal that they also struggle with low self-esteem, self-doubt, anxiety, chronic depression, phobias or addictions. I will listen with compassion providing you with an environment where you can feel heard without judgment. We will explore the issues you have long needed to talk about with someone who understands what it means to be a psychotherapist. Come in for a consultation and let’s start talking.
